Summer is holiday time for many, but not for everyone—especially for those who have a four-legged friend and don't want to leave them behind at home. However, with so many beach restrictions for our loyal companions, how do you navigate them? In Gallura, holidaying with your dog is very popular; in fact, it is the Sardinian region with the highest number of dog-friendly beaches. So, dogs are more than welcome on the beach in Santa Teresa Gallura, too! At Porto Fido, the dog-friendly beach, your four-legged friends have their very own dedicated beach with a fully equipped area, ready to welcome dogs with... owners in tow!! Located in Porto Quadro, the beach features 25 dedicated stations. Each station includes its own beach umbrella and a designated beach area of at least 8 square meters. The daily service—available every day from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM—includes a water bowl, a scoop, and dog waste bags. The main rules to follow include keeping your dog on a leash, immediately cleaning up after them (dedicated bins are provided), and having an up-to-date health record with vaccinations as well as proof of dog registry enrollment. For obvious reasons, aggressive dogs and female dogs in heat are not permitted.
